The Bear
The London Theatre - July 2017
The London Theatre in New Cross housed two of Chekhov's short plays, The Bear and The Proposal, two short comedy works performed by two separate casts.

In the Bear, Elena Ivanovna Popova is mourning over the death of her husband and has been doing so for the past 7 months and plans on doing little else. However, she is disrupted by the boisterous Gregorii Stepanovich Smirnov who has come to collect a debt her husband had.
Smirnov is determined to receive his money as he himself is in debt and could lose his estate if he doesn't pay soon. Popova refuses and chaos ensues.
Rob played Popova's servant Luka, who tried his best to console and calm the situation but is completely overwhelmed by Smirnov and very much out of his depth.
